Meet other incoming Arts & Science students and stay on top of your first-year planning during weekly webinars hosted by the Arrive Ready mentor team. Gain valuable insights on how to make the most of your first year with clubs, study groups, research opportunities, experiential learning and on-campus jobs – all key ways to build your academic and work experience, make friends and explore your interests on campus.

Some webinars will also be co-hosted by faculty and staff. These sessions are open to all incoming first-year students in the Faculty of Arts & Science. You are welcome to drop in at any time and stay for as long as you would like during the session.

Week of June 22: Course Enrolment Tips
Learn about the resources you will use during course enrolment, including ACORN, Timetable Builder and the Academic Calendar. Gain valuable insights from Student Services Advisors from the Faculty of Arts & Science about choosing courses and preparing for course enrolment. You will also be able to ask the Arrive Ready mentor team questions about their experiences preparing for course enrolment.

In this session, academic advisors will share their years of wisdom advising first-year students on making important decisions around course selection and academic planning. The Arrive Ready mentor team will also be available to answer questions and share their experiences navigating the process.

Welcome to Arrive Ready: Attend the official kick-off webinar for Arrive Ready 2026, where we welcome the incoming class to the Faculty of Arts & Science at U of T! Connect with other incoming students and meet your Arrive Ready mentor team, who are here to support you as you prepare for first year. You can hear all of their insider tips and the lessons they learned along the way. They’ll also walk you through all the helpful, free resources available to you through the Arrive Ready program.
Get Ready for U of T: Wondering what you need to prepare for your arrival at U of T in September? Learn about key dates and deadlines, where to find them and the resources available to keep you on track this summer. Our team of upper-year mentors will also share the tips they found most helpful and what they wish they knew before starting first year.
Finances & On-Campus Work: Learn about the various ways that you can help to finance your studies, including financial aid, U of T Scholarships & Awards and opportunities for on-campus employment. Hear from the Arrive Ready Mentor team about their experiences and strategies for finding work on campus. This session will include staff from the Faculty of Arts & Science undergraduate awards team.
First-Year Opportunities: As a first-year Arts & Science student, you get exclusive access to First-Year Learning Communities (FLCs), First-Year Foundations Seminars and First-Year Ones Programs. These unique experiences offer an opportunity to connect with professors and other students in engaging, small group discussions. This week, mentors will share their experiences participating in these programs to help you decide which options may best suit your goals during first year. This session will include staff from the First-Year Learning Communities program.
