Where do I book a study room?

You may be asked to work in a group as part of your class or you may want to study with friends. In either case, a study room will provide you a distraction-free atmosphere to work with a group.

There are three types of study spaces on campus. Make sure to check if the study spaces are open and if they permit group bookings.

  • Open study carrels may be available on a first-come, first-served basis in most libraries.
  • Shared study spaces may also available in:
    • Sidney Smith Commons
    • Physically-distanced study space is available at some libraries
  • Study rooms can usually be found in libraries and colleges. You can also check your college for available study rooms.
  • Space on campus for online classes: Use the new U of T Synchronous Space Finder to find space on campus to attend an online synchronous class. The app is available for iPad, iPhone and Android devices.

Tips

During exams, study rooms tend to book up. Make sure to book your study room well in advance of when you actually need it.
