Where can I practice my presentation?

Looking to practice your presentation before you need to stand up in front of the class, your teaching assistant, or your professor? Many study rooms on campus have whiteboards and TV monitors. Here are some options for you to book a quiet room or space to collaborate with your peers:

  • The Sidney Smith Commons (SSC)

The SSC has student spaces with audio/video technology, movable tables, whiteboards, etc.

  • Gerstein Library’s Room 2000

This room has a TV, speakers, chalkboard, whiteboard and large tables.

  • Robarts Library

In the ground floor of Robarts, there are five group study rooms with TV monitors.

  • St. Michael’s College

Room 231 in John M. Kelly Library has a TV monitor and laptop hookup.

Make sure to check if the building and these study spaces are open before you head to campus. Some spaces may only allow independent study.

Tips

If you know you have a presentation as part of your curriculum, try to book your group study room well in advance to avoid the rooms being booked when you need them.
