What scholarships, bursaries and awards could I apply for?

You should be focusing on your education, not how to pay for it. If you’re looking for some financial support from a scholarship, bursary and/or award, here are some resources for you to investigate:

Award Explorer

Award Explorer can help you explore the diverse funding opportunities that recognize your achievements and financially support your studies. Search by college, type of award or program.

Scholarships (and Bursary) Database

You can look for opportunities and sort by name, type, level of study (undergraduate/graduate) and even if an application is required or not! Award descriptions, application deadlines, forms and award amounts are all at your fingertips.

Faculty of Arts & Science Scholarships

The Faculty of Arts and Science offers scholarships to undergraduate students participating in various initiatives and research projects. Check the A&S website for criteria and application details.

Indigenous Tuition Initiative

The University of Toronto Indigenous Tuition Initiative fosters and strengthens relationships between U of T and Indigenous communities in Ontario, across Canada and in the United States. This initiative includes three programs:

  • The U of T Indigenous Tuition Grant covers the cost of tuition in eligible undergraduate and graduate programs for students from the nine identified First Nations communities.
  • Indigenous students from the rest of Canada may be eligible for the domestic Ontario tuition fee.
  • Native American/Alaska Native students from the continental U.S.A. may be eligible for the domestic Ontario tuition fee.
